Scholarships and The Earl Johnson Scholarship Program

Scholarships are given out prior to the school year to the top candidates applying. This year, 2017, Scholarships are scheduled to be given in July to a total of 24 students. Deadline for students to apply for the scholarship is on _____________ and in order to apply contact any Rotary Club member or at Office Solution at 4th Avenue with Mr. Carlos Urio (Fred Urio).  To apply you will need: A reference letters from principals, teachers and family.

Art in the Park

Art in the Park is a once-a-month celebration in town featuring local craftsman, retailers, food, music, dancing and Rotary Club's popcorn stand. This is a great way for the community to connect.

With the help of U.S. companies and fellow Rotary Clubs, we were able to provide primary schools in Corozal, Belize and surrounding villages with laptops for their students.

Fitness Park

We are putting together a fitness park with equipment designed specifically for 'Gift of Limbs' candidates to gain strength before and after they receive their new limb. The 'Gift of Limbs" project is still under the planning process therefore the Fitness Park is and will be for the public use as well.

Sustainable Toilets

An initiative to help schools in Corozal and surrounding villages implement a new toilet system that will need NO water to operate and after a year of use human waste become compost by the help of naturally occurring bacteria. This initiative bloomed and the very first Self Sustainable Toilet is already under construction in the Concepcion Village, Corozal District.
